Libraries

Libraries are the top-level container for organizing data. Each user has one personal library and can create or join shared libraries for collaboration.

The type field indicates whether a library is personal, shared, or shared_folder. If a user shares a folder from their personal library, that folder appears as a library of type shared_folder to the other collaborators.

The personal library always has the id personal. It cannot be created, renamed, or deleted. Create, update, and delete operate on shared libraries and shared folders only, and require a token with the read_write scope.

GET /libraries returns the complete list of libraries you can access in a single response — it is not paginated.

Other resources (references, folders, labels, and files) can be addressed within a specific library via the /libraries/{library_id}/... paths; without the prefix they default to your personal library. See the Library object for the full schema.
