Search

GET /search looks through everything in a library at once — reference metadata, the text of attached PDFs, and PDF annotations — and tells you for each result where it matched. Use it to find passages and quotes; to filter references by their fields, use GET /references.

Full-text results carry the file, page, and byte offsets of the match, which GET /files/{file_id}/text_content accepts to read the surrounding text.
